5. If the network window is displayed again, click TCP/IP
and subsequently Properties.
6. Select IP Address.
7. Enter the IP address and the subnet mask for your com-
puter and confirm your entries with OK.
8. If the network window is displayed again, click OK and
restart the computer. TCP/IP has been installed on your
computer.
How to Configure TCP/IP under Windows 2000
1. Right-click on your Windows desktop and select Net-
work and Dial-up Connections and then Local Area Con-
nection. Select Properties.
2. If the TCP/IP protocol valid for your network interface
card is listed here, go to step 5. Otherwise, select
Install.
3. Select Protocol > Add.
4. Select the appropriate protocol from the Microsoft >
TCP/IP list in the network protocol list and confirm with
OK.
5. If the network window is displayed again, click Internet
Protocol, TCP/IP, and, subsequently, Properties.
6. Select Use the following IP address.
7. Enter the IP address and the subnet mask for your com-
puter and confirm your entries with OK.
8. If the network window is displayed again, click OK and
restart the computer. TCP/IP has been installed on your
computer.
