What is spread spectrum?
Spread spectrum is a spread band procedure which was origi-
nally developed for military purposes. Also see DSSS and
FHSS in the glossary.
Can a radio transmission be eavesdropped?
In principle, each radio transmission can be eavesdropped.
You should therefore activate WEP to encrypt your data.

What is WEP?
WEP stands for Wireless Equivalent Privacy and is an encryp-
tion procedure based on 40/104 bits. Today, it is practically
supported by all WLAN devices.

How to Configure TCP/IP under Windows
Before a computer is able to communicate with a BAT 11b, the
TCP/IP protocol has to be installed and correctly configured. IF
you know how to do it, configure it now if this has not yet been
done. Otherwise, follow the instructions how to install the
TCP/IP protocol on your computer. If you are not able to install
a TCP/IP protocol on your computer in spite of the following
instructions, please consult the manufacturer of your operat-
ing system. If possible, ask your network administrator which
TCP/IP settings you should use.
The following directives are general instructions. Special fea-
tures of your networks should be discussed with your systems
administrator.
