Overview
The
Networking
page allows you to configure IP parameters and to
monitor the amount of traffic of the physical and virtual/logical (i.e. of
containers) network interfaces that are managed by the netFIELD OS.
You can also configure your firewall and HTTPS/HTTP/FTP Proxy server
settings here.
Figure 63: Networking page
The
Networking
page features the following sections:
Sending/Receiving
The graphs in the area on top show the amount of network traffic (sending
and receiving) for the last five minutes.
Firewall
The
Firewall
is a service available to all Hilscher devices of the netFIELD
product portfolio that are based on the netFIELD OS.
If configured accordingly, the embedded firewall restricts access between
different network interfaces and takes control over the packets processed
by the embedded device. Since sensorEDGE embeds just a single
Ethernet LAN port as outbound network interface, a configuration of the
embedded firewall is not necessary. The firewall dialog is present just
because of compatibility reasons.
