Attachments
The
Attachments
page allows you to manage the IODD files and manuals
of the IO-Link sensors that you are using with your sensorEDGE device.
It opens after choosing
DEVICE ACCESS

Attachments
from the
MAIN
MENU
.
Note:
Note that as soon as you connect an IO-Link sensor to the
sensorEDGE, the sensorEDGE automatically downloads the
sensor’s IODD file from a database in the Internet. After download,
the sensorEDGE immediately applies the default settings specified
in the IODD file, thus enabling the “plug and play” functionality of
the sensorEDGE.
The
Attachment
page shows a list of all IO-Link sensors and attachments
that the sensorEDGE has successfully recognized.
If the sensorEDGE could not – for whatever reason – automatically load a
required IODD file for one of your sensors from the Internet, you can
manually upload the corresponding IODD file in ZIP format here.
