The crank handle is attached to the back screw assembly and engages the
shaft mechanism.

When you turn the crank handle, the back section rises or lowers as
applicable.

assembly. Eliminate the interference, and go to “Final Actions”

When you release the crank handle, the back section remains firmly in
position.
