2 Description
2.1 Theory of Operation
The RC15 unit controls the drive of a connected rotor pump in a way that a precise dosage is
made upon a simple digital start signal.
For different dosing applications it is possible to store up to 3 programs in the RC15 controller.
These can be accessed via separate digital start signals of a higher ranking controller.
The RC15 controller provides digital signals to the higher level control to indicate the status of
the dosage as well as the level of the reservoir.
For manual workstations without higher level control, the RC15 system can be started with a
simple foot switch. The status is shown on the display in big, straight forward symbolic icons.
Dosage parameters can be adjusted via the graphical user interface depending on the operating
mode :
– flow rate for dispensing,
– dispensing quantity or
– dispensing time.
The RC15 controller offers three different operating modes that can be selected.
In all three operating modes, the desired dispensing rate, the suck-back volume and the flow
rate for the suck-back can be adjusted.
Three different dispense flow rates and suck-back parameter sets can be set and retrieved via
the three programs.
An adjustable ramp function is available for enhanced bead overlapping.
The start ramp and the stop ramp can be adjusted independently.
2.2 Dispensing Modes
Operating Mode “Quantity”
The required dispensing quantity is the primary preset here.
The displayed dosing time (in gray) is shown for information purposes only.
Three different dispense quantities can be set and retrieved via the three programs.
Operating Mode “Time“ (internal time control)
Here, flow rate and the dispensing time is preset. The dosage runs accordingly.

Three different dosing times can be set and retrieved via the three programs.
Operating Mode “Start/Stop“ (external time control)
The duration of the dosage is defined by the length of the external start signal.
The displayed dispensing quantity and time (both in gray) are shown only for information.
Three different dosing rates can be set up and retrieved via the three programs.
This mode is particularly recommended for bead dispensing in combination with a Loctite
dispensing robot.
