Commissioning
Setting up the S-rack
DANGER
Distortion of work results. Contamination of samples and /or
the work environment.

Use the S-base supplied to set up the S-rack and position the
system on a suitably stable and horizontal surface.
or
➜
Use the S-wall wall bracket (included) to fix the S-rack on a
sufficiently stable building structure.
➜
Position the system so that the power supply cord can be
disconnected at any time to interrupt the power supply!
➜
Protect the system from direct sunshine and the influence of
other heat sources.
➜
Always make sure that the work environment is clean and keep
contact surfaces dry.
➜
Always make sure that you insert the S-boxes completely and
in the correct position.
Mounting on a wall
Mount the S-rack on the wall as follows:

First, mount the S-mount wall bracket on a sufficiently stable wall.
➜
One S-mount is required for each S-rack.
➜
The user must provide the necessary fixing material.
➜
Manufacturer recommendation: Wall plug/screw set for
5.5 × 65 mm screws, screw-in depth at least 50 mm.
➜
Mount the S-rack on the S-mount.
➜
Assemble the S-wall side pieces on the S-rack (assembly without tools)
➜
Position the S-console with the MacBook Air.
➜
Make the required connections (LAN and power supply, CO
2
supply).
Assembly with S-base
To assemble the S-rack with the S-base, proceed as follows:

Mount the S-mount wall bracket on the S-rack.
➜
Place the S-rack in the S-base.
➜
Assemble the S-wall side pieces on the S-rack (assembly without tools)
➜
Position the S-console with the MacBook Air.
➜
Make the required connections (LAN and power supply, CO
2
supply).
S-rack cluster
Multiple S-racks can be connected together to form a cluster. The CO
2
is supplied via
the CO
2
connections at the back of the S-rack. S-racks are integrated in a cluster via
the LAN connections at the back.
Proceed as follows to set up a cluster of multiple S-racks:
