Filling with thermal fluid
Danger:
Fire hazard
If you fill the device with a thermal fluid with too low a flash point, it
may catch fire.
Only use thermal fluids with a flash point that is at least 20 K above
the temperature range for the application. Do not use ethanol as an
additive due to its highly flammable properties.
Warning:
Risk of electric shock
If the device is overfilled, thermal fluid may overflow into the device
and cause the device to short circuit.
Ensure that the device is not overfilled. Carefully monitor the fill level
indicator and the thermal expansion of the thermal fluid.
Warning:
Risk of electric shock
If the device is filled carelessly, thermal fluid may splash into the device
and cause the device to short circuit.
Use a funnel for filling. Avoid splashing the thermal fluid
.
Warning:
Risk of poisoning! Risk of injury!
When handling chemically prepared thermal fluids, any splashes could
cause injuries to areas of bare skin.
Always wear safety goggles, protective gloves and protective clothing
when filling the chiller.
The thermal fluid from Heidolph is suitable for all standard applications.
It covers a temperature range from minus 30 °C to plus 90 °C. (See
