Connecting the chiller to an external consumer
Warning:
Risk of electric shock Risk of frostbite!
If the hoses between the chiller and the external consumer are not
leak-tight and connected without kinks, any escaping thermal fluid
could result in frostbite and electric shock in the event of contact
with live components.
▪
Lay all hoses without kinks and protected against kinks.
▪
Check the leak-tightness of all hose connections and hoses.
▪
Secure all hoses against slippage.
▪
Maintain a clearance distance between hoses and power connec
-
tions or live components.
Warning:Risk of explosion! Risk of frostbite! Risk of poison-
ing! Risk of injury! Risk of slipping!
If the hoses are improperly connected or glassware is exposed to
high pressure, the hoses and glassware could burst due to overpres
-
sure. The liquids that may then escape as a result pose a risk of
frostbite, poisoning and slippage. Burst glassware also poses a signif
-
icant risk of injury and can result in exothermic reactions.
The maximum pressure at the outlet from the chiller is stated in
the Attachments (see chapter “Attachments, Technical data”). If
necessary, reduce the pressure in accordance with the connected
peripheral devices by fitting a pressure regulator upstream at the
outlet from the chiller. Ensure that all hose connections are leak-tight
and secured against kinks and slippage to avoid overpressure.
If air penetrates into the external consumer and it is higher than
the chiller, it could cause the external circuit to empty into the
chiller when the pump is switched off. This could cause the chiller to
overflow.
➜
Shorten the temperature control hoses as much as possible while ensuring that they
can be laid without any kinks and without any tension.
➜
Secure the temperature control hoses against slippage with the aid of hose clamps.
