It is permissible to paint the outer wrapping of the
flex vent with black paint, if desired. See Figure 7.11.

3. Install register cover with louvers facing the front of the
fireplace (control side) using provided screws. See
Figure 7.12.
Painting
If desired finishing includes a painted register cover,
Hearth & Home Technologies recommends using high
temperature paint with a minimum of 300 °F continuous
exposure rating.
