Spectrum system and powering on the device.
Replacing an Ethernet card
After removing the system cover, be sure to follow instructions for replacing the Ethernet card in the
correct PCI Riser. Take care to not misplace any small parts while completing this procedure.
DANGER:
Observe all conventional ESD precautions when handling Spectrum devices
and components.
Removing the system cover
A non-skid surface may be needed to prevent the server system from sliding on your work surface.
Before you begin
Unpack the replacement component and visually inspect for any damage. If it is damaged, call Harmonic
Technical Support and do not continue with this procedure.
