5. Close the drive carrier release handle to lock the drive into place.
6. Insert the USB device with the operating system into a USB port on the rear panel.
IMPORTANT:
Contact Technical Support for assistance with the following step.
7. Boot the MediaDirector to the USB device, as directed by Technical Support.
The operating system is installed to the replacement boot drive, and the video server powers off when
the installation is complete.
8. Remove the USB device from the rear panel.
9. Power on the MediaDirector by pressing the power button on the front panel.
10. From the
System Diagram
page in SystemManager, verify that the MediaDirector appears as
Connected
.
11. If any error alarms were created, click
ALARM
, and then acknowledge and delete the alarms.
12. Determine the firmware version that is running on the MediaDirector.
