Chapter 2: MediaDirector 2252B/2251B component replacement

Replacing a fan

You must remove the system cover in order to replace a fan. Take care to not misplace any small parts

while completing this procedure.

DANGER:

Observe all conventional ESD precautions when handling Spectrum devices

and components.

Removing the system cover

A non-skid surface may be needed to prevent the server system from sliding on your work surface.

Before you begin

Unpack the replacement component and visually inspect for any damage. If it is damaged, call Harmonic

Technical Support and do not continue with this procedure.
