7.1.2 Tools Needed
7.2 PT-1000 Temperature Sensor Calibration
Requires the use of the 0°C simulator (model 32116), supplied with your Beverage
Package Analyzer, which plugs in the PT1000 socket located on instrument’s back
panel.
Preparation
Prepare a package of water at room temperature, and measure the temperature of water
with a certified thermometer. Note this temperature.
Procedure
• Sensor storage cap (sensor’s head plastic cover)
• Certified barometer with a precision of ± 3 mbar
• Certified pressure gauge
- range: 0 - 5 bar
- precision: ± 5 mbar
• Orbisphere 32001.xxx calibration flow chamber
The Orbisphere 32001.xxx flow chamber is needed for the
calibration of the thermal conductivity sensor.
Connect the flow chamber inlet and outlet as per diagram,
using 6-mm or ¼-inch tubing and the Swagelock fittings
provided.
The sensor must be in vertical position, with the flow
chamber pointing downward.
• Unplug the PT-1000 cable from instrument back panel.
• Select and start the
PT-1000
calibration routine.
• Select the
two point
calibration.
• Plug the simulator in the PT-1000 socket.
• When prompted for low point temperature, enter 0°C.
• Select
Resistor
calibration.
• When low point voltage is displayed, press
ENTER
.
• Remove the simulator, and connect the PT 1000 cable.
• When prompted for high point temperature, enter previously
measured water temperature.
• Select
Liquid
calibration.
• Lower sampling tube in water package, and press
ENTER
.
• Wait until voltage is stable, and press
ENTER
to validate.
• The PT1000 temperature sensor is calibrated.
