Call the Tapping Canned Cycle G84
Scroll CW and highlight the group titled 4. Drill/Tap Cycles. Scroll CCW until Right Hand Tapping G84 is high-
lighted. Press the Write key and the control will ask for the information to set up tapping with G84.
Note that Quick Code defined a block to execute a tapping cycle at that present location. Enter the appropriate
speed and feed for this tapping cycle. More X and Y tap cycle locations can be added, if needed, by selecting “6.
Drill/Tap/Bore Locations.
Note: Manually enter an L0 at the end of the G84 command line so the mill will not tap a hole at X0 Y0. This will
ignore the G84 canned cycle until the next location.
Execute a Circular Bolt Hole Pattern
1. Scroll CW and highlight the group titled “6. Drill/Tap/Bore Locations”. Scroll CCW and highlight the group titled
“Bolt Hole Circle Locations”. Press the Write button and the control will ask for the information to position around a
bolthole circle.
2. Answer the questions in the lower left corner of the control screen, this will define the commands necessary to
tap a bolt hole circle with a G84 canned cycle.
To move the table forward to ease the removal of the part use the following instructions:
Rapid Z-axis / Coolant Off
Scroll CW and highlight the group titled “Ending Commands”. Scroll CCW until the “Rapid Z Axis Coolant Off” is
highlighted and press Write.

Sending the Machine Home and Ending the Program
1. Scroll CW and highlight the group titled “Ending Commands”. Scroll CCW until “Home Y and Z Axes” is high-
lighted and press Write.
2. Scroll CCW and highlight the group titled “End Program, Reset M30” and press Write.
The program is ready to run. Run the program in graphics to make certain that all the steps are entered.
