Periodic Inspection according
to DS/EN ISO 10535:2006
12-month inspection of hoist and rail systems
Checklist
1. Rail System
Check that all brackets are tightened with correct torque
to the ceiling/wall
Check that all brackets are tightened with correct torque
to the rail system
If not possible, do a load test with 1,5 x rated load for 20
min.
Check reinforcement
If not possible, do a load test with 1,5 x rated load
Check and re-tighten end stops and check they are
secured with pins
Check that brackets are placed over all rail joints
Check that a sticker with max. load is placed on hoist
and rail system (max. load on hoist must be equal or
less than the rail system)
If no sticker is placed on the rail system, check the
distance between brackets according to the Installation
Guide and place a sticker with rated load after a load
test with 1,5 x rated load for 20 min.
Do a load test with rated load through the entire system
Place a sticker with a new date for next inspection
2. Electrical connections
Check that all cables are intact
Check that all cables are secured with a cable relief, for
example inside the transformer.
Check for rupture on cables and on isolation
Check for correct earth connection if this is established
Check that no cables with 110v/220v are in contact with
the rail system
Check that cables have the right length (not turned up)
3. Combi-Lock
Check that safety locks are installed correctly and are
intact
Check for dust, etc. inside rails where safety
locks are mounted
Check that they open and close easily
Check for corrosion on the safety locks
(in case of corrosion, change them)
Check the function of the safety locks with and without
traverse rail (must not open without traverse rail)
4. Turntable:
Check the bearings.
5. Switch track
Check that the tongue moves fully and easily.
6. Hoist
Check connection between trolley and hoist. Original
pins must be used
Check the lifting strap, it must be intact (the whole
length)
Check connection of strap to the hoist. Unreel strap and
pull hard
Check connection between strap and hanger
Check the emergency stop
Check the emergency lowering
Do a full lifting cycle with rated load – must be effortless
and without jarring sound
Place a sticker with a new date for next inspection
7. Lifting Hanger
Check hanger attachment safety mechanism for correct
function
Check sling attachment rubber finger for correct function
and wear
Check for damage to plastic covers that could compro-
mise use of the hanger
