Assembly example 1: R+W drive shaft with clamping hub connection
Assembly
>
Slide the metal bellows couplings onto the
shafts to be joined.
>
If the axial position is correct, tighten the
mounting screws

with a torque key to the
specified moment.
>
Insert the intermediate tube. The centering
length of the mounting flange is 1 mm.
>
Press the metal belows together 1 mm to fit
the intermediate tube.
>
Tighten the flange mounting screws

with
a torque key to the specified moment.
>
With divided hubs (Mod. ZAE,
ð

right), respect the clearance C from the shaft
end face to the shaft end face of the shafts to
be joined.
Clearance C = length A-2 x G \[mm]
>
Insert the complete drive shaft.
>
Tighten the mounting screws

with a torque
key to the specified moment.

Important
►
Do not tighten the mounting screws any further. Doing so
could damage the cone hub connection!
Disassembly
>
Unscrew the flange mounting screws

Press the metal bellows together.

Remove the intermediate tube. Support the intermediate tube where
necessary!
>
Undo the mounting screws 2]. Remove the metal bellows couplings.
