• Place your elbow on the table or other suitable support and
hold the cuff so that the cuff is at the same level as the heart.
Place your lower arm on the casing of the unit or a folded
towel.
• Have yourself on a seat in a
comfortable position, breathe
deeply 5 or 6 times and relax.
• Measure the blood pressure
the same time every day!
To get a correct picture of the
blood pressure changes during
the day, make the measure-
ments at home daily at the
same time.
• Record the values and show
them to your physician for
assessment. He can advise
you on any measures that
may be good to take.
• The blood pressure value
measured on the wrist may
be different from that on the
upper arm.
