Insufficient row unit down-force Adjust row unit down force. See “ Down-Pressure

Using wrong tire shape for conditions Lock-up press wheels. See “ Press Wheel Adjustments ”
on page 49.
Swap out tires to match conditions. Wedge-shaped tires
work best on narrow spacings and/or wet conditions.
Round-edged tires work best in wider row spacings and
drier conditions.

Incorrect fan airflow Adjust fan speed to recommended rpm. See “ Fan
Operation ” on page 30.
Incorrect range and/or transmission
sprockets Compare range and transmission sprockets tooth counts
and driving/driven locations to recommendations found in
the Material Rate manual.
Improper main shaft sprockets Inspect sprockets. The hydraulic drive is assembled with
23-tooth sprockets and the ground drive is assembled with
25-tooth sprockets.
Incorrect seed disk Refer to seed rate charts in Material Rate manual to
determine correct seed disk.
Seed size may be too small or too large for the
recommended configuration or seed disk cell size, make
other selections as needed.
Sticky or tacky seed treatment Add seed lubricant to help dry out seed. See “ Seed
Lubricants ” on page 22.
Incorrect speed sensor constant Perform a speed calibration. See console manual.
Low population
bands or skips

Insufficient oil to the fan, meter
