Fan Motor Damage Risk
When disconnecting the hydraulic hoses,
always detach the case drain hose last to
prevent damage to the fan motor.
For hydraulic fan and drive motors, connect the hose
with the retracted cylinder symbol to the pressure
side of the motor. All motor returns combined in
motor return hose.
The fan motor requires further hook up of a third line
which returns hydraulic fluid from the fan motor case.
1. Connect the case drain hose to the low pressure
drain connection.
2. Connect low pressure return hose to low
pressure connector.
3. If the tractor has a limited number of remotes
capable of continuous flow, use those remotes for
the hydraulic fan, optional hydraulic drive, and
delivery.

Electrical Connections
Connect the planter electrical lead to the tractor
seven
- pin connector. If your tractor is not equipped
with an ASAE J560b seven - pin connector, contact
your dealer for installation.
For ground drive planters, connect the frame fold
connector. For hydraulic drive planters, connect the
IBBC connector. For IRC planters, connect the IBBC
and auxiliary power.
Make sure the tractor is shut down with accessory
power off before making the following connections.
These connections can be made in any order, and
must be made before moving the planter.
 Lighting connector
 Planter console harness connector
 Speed radar connector
 Any optional or after-market electrical connectors

Hitch
Crushing Hazard
Do not stand or place any body part between
planter and moving tractor. You may be
severely injured or killed by being crushed
between the tractor and planter. Stop tractor
engine and set parking brake before attaching
cables and hoses.
Hitch Failure Hazard
Securely lock the tractor arms to the planter
hitch. Hitching to the planter incorrectly may
lead to hitch failure which could result in a
serious highway accident or severe machine
damage or even death.
All PL5200 Planters require a tractor with a quick
attach hitch.
All PL5200 Planters with the optional Lift Assist
configuration will require a 2-point hitch.
Some PL5200 Planters with Lift Assist will include a
top link for shipping purposes only. This top link
assembly will need to be removed from the planter by
the dealer. It should be discarded prior to first use.
Hitching (3-Point Hitch)
1. Connect the tractor lift arms to the lower hitch
pins.
2. Securely lock tractor lower hitch points arms onto
the planter hitch.
3. Adjust tractor upper link arm, as needed to
connect to planter top link.
4. Securely lock tractor upper hitch point on the top
link planter hitch.
Hitching (2-Point Hitch)
1. Connect the tractor arms to the lower hitch pins.
2. Securely lock tractor lower hitch points arms onto
the planter hitch.
