3. Beginning on the left side of the planter, on the
gauge wheel assembly(3),
loosen the upper bolt (1)
and the lower bolt (2).
4. Loosen the two lock collars (4) on both sides of
the main driving sprocket (5).
5. Tighten the adjuster nut (6) to move the gauge
wheel weldment to the right until the gauge wheel
offset distance has been achieved. Carefully
support and guide the main driving sprocket
assembly along the shaft as the gauge wheel
mount is shifted. Use the gauge wheel offset
distance based on your planter configuration.
See previous table.
6. Once the gauge wheel mount is in the correct
offset location, tighten the two lock collars (4) to
secure the main driving sprocket (5).
7. Tighten the upper bolt (1) and the lower bolt (2) to
secure the gauge wheel assembly (3).
8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for the other gauge
wheels.

Lift Assist Wheel Offset (Option)
Pinch Point, Crushing, and Moving Hazards
Moving parts can pinch or crush causing
serious injury or death. Keep all persons away
when making adjustments to the planter and
when the planter is moving and/or in operation.
If your PL5200 Planter is configured with lift assist, it
will be necessary to offset the lift assist pivot mount
on the rear of the planter.
To successfully complete the lift assist
wheel offset, it will be necessary to move
the planter forward while turning to shift rear
lift assist pivot mount, to achieve single row
planting mount hole alignment.
1. On the left and the right rear lift assist pivot
mounts (1), remove pin (2) from twin row planting
position.
2. By pulling the planter forward and turning, shift
rear lift assist pivot mount (1) to the left until the
single row planting mount hole (3) is aligned to
allow for the pin (2) to be secured into the single
row planting position.
3. Stop tractor engine, set parking brake, and
remove key.
4. Insert pin (2) into the single row planting position.
