When all steps have been completed your lower pin
should look similar as shown:
13. Securely lock tractor lower hitch points arms onto
the planter hitch.
14. Adjust tractor upper link arm, as needed to
connect to planter top link (1).
15. Securely lock tractor upper hitch point on the top
link on the far left on the planter hitch (A).
2-Point Side-Shift Hitch Offset
1. Move the planter to level ground with adequate
overhead and side-to-side clearance for
unfolding the planter.
2. If necessary, fully unfold the planter.
3. Set the fold circuit to “Neutral” to prevent wing
droop.
4. Install the wing locks pins on the toolbar coupling.
5. Drive the planter forward, and turn the wheel to
the left. This will create adequate space for
necessary lift assist adjustments.
6. Remove all lock cylinders.
7. Lower the front of the planter using the 2-point
hitch.
8. Retract the tractor hydraulic lift assist lever to
lower the planter. Keep the tractor lever retracted
until the rear of the planter is just above ground
level at the rear of row units.
9. Set the tractor hydraulic lift assist lever to
“Neutral”.
10. If the ground is soft, place a board or plate under
each stand to increase contact area.
11. Set parking stands.
12. Keeping each of the two sets of the shim
configurations (1) (C) (D) intact:
a. Loosen the three bolts (2) and nuts, and remove
the two sets of the shim configurations (1). Set
aside, keeping the shim configurations intact,
and in order.
b. Slide the spacer weldment (3) to the far left until
flush with the lower pin weldment (A).
c. Secure with a bolt and nut (2).
