Principle of Operation
JRG Coral force limescale conditioners function on the basis of patented WATERCRYST catalyser
technology. This leaves the valuable minerals in the potable water and does not alter its natural
composition.
The stainless steel tank (1) contains a loose bed of active, fine-grained polymer catalyst
granulate (2), above which are filter granules of lower specific weight (3) in polypropylene and
filter stars (4, 5) in the water inlet and outlet. These are made of food-safe, temperature-
resistant plastics and serve to keep the catalyst granulate (2) in the tank (1).
The water to be treated flows and swirls (A) through the catalyst granulate (2). Imitating natural
bio-mineralisation processes, tiny crystals of lime from the hardeners dissolved in the water are
deposited on the surface of the catalyst (B). These tiny lime crystals are then stripped from the
catalyst surface by the water being treated (C) and spread throughout the entire installation
system by water removal (D). The result is a protective deposit of tiny lime crystals that act
throughout the entire hot water system (the

deposit effect

).

If lime is now precipitated within the system, it is separated out onto the lime crystals present in
the water (D). As the crystals grow, they do not attach themselves to any surface and are flushed
out of the installation as water is extracted.
There is consequently a significant reduction in limescale deposits on pipes and boiler walls,
heating registers and valves.
An electronic control and monitoring system ensures that the unit functions automatically and
correctly.
