Thank you for choosing the Geratherm
®
smart blood pres-
sure monitor.
Before using your device for the first time, please read
this instruction manual carefully.
This blood pressure monitor uses the oscillometric method
of measuring the systolic and diastolic blood pressure and
the heart rate. The measurements are taken at the upper
arm and all values appear on an LCD display screen.
This blood pressure monitor complies with the standards for
medical devices. The blood pressure monitor can be used
by adults with an arm circumference of 22 cm to 42 cm.
Before using this device, pregnant women must
consult a physician and the suitability of this measur-
ing method must be assessed. In some cases, the measure-
ments may deviate. Pregnant women are therefore recom-
mended to have control measurements conducted by their
physician, since clinical validation has not been conducted
with pregnant women.
Persons with implanted electrical devices such as heart
pacemakers and defibrillators must consult a physician
regarding the suitability of this measuring method.
