MiniTermPro
Configuring a CDC MiniTerm Keypad
First of all before you connect a CDC MiniTerm to a PC
you need to select the host mode using MacroMaster

.
From the Properties panel set the USB Host Mode to
“USB CDC Virtual COM” and then set the serial
number. The serial number range is 0 to 9999.
Download this file to the MiniTerm. When the MiniTerm reboots (assuming it’s
connected using the USB cable) it will come up in the new CDC mode.
On a Linux or Mac the driver is installed instantly without user intervention. On a
Windows PC, version 7 of the MiniTermPro installation package pre-installs the
CDC driver.
On older versions of the installation you need to point to the INF file
(it is located in the MiniTermPro directory).
The CDC Driver on Windows 7/8
As mentioned, the CDC driver settings are modified using Device Manager.
Starting in MiniTermPro version 7, there is a shortcut link to Device Manager
available in the start menu:
A nice feature of launching it this way is that when you click on Show Hidden
Devices you can see what all the COM port (driver) designations are, whether
the devices are plugged in or not.

There is also a Power-On-Self-Test mode of selecting the operating mode of the keypad, but you cannot
alter the USB serial number that way.
