MAINTENANCE ON NON-URGENT FAULTS OF THE DRILLING MACHINE
5.1 General information
5.1.1
Classification of faults
The faults listed below do not require an immediate machine stop:
•
the malfunction generated by the fault allows machine activity by
adopting specific measures;
•
the repair can be delayed until the end of the work shift;
•
the countermeasures taken must maintain the same level of safety
during operation;
•
the countermeasures taken must prevent further faults;
These faults are indicated as B2 in table 1.1.4.1
5.2 Faults on the limit switch system.
5.2.1
Fault on the main winch limit switch system in descent
The malfunction of the limit switch system can be caused both by an
unsuitable adjustment of the limit switch and by a fault on the electric-
solenoid valve circuit. Proceed with an elimination process:
•
engine off, key in the ignition turned to On;
•
check the electric operation of the circuit by activating the limit switch
manually; when the contact closes the indicator light on the connector
of solenoid valve E1 must switch on (connection integrity) and solenoid
valve E1 must intervene (solenoid valve integrity);
•
check the control lever of the limit switch as per
par. 3.3.1
If one continues until the end of the work shift, one must adopt the
measures contained in
par. 6.2.2
of the "Operator and safety manual"
