3.2.3
Replacement of the main winch rope
The main winch rope must be replaced as follows:
•
configure the drilling machine in the transport configuration, placing the
Kelly stub on a support such as to have the swivel as close as possible
to the pulley;
•
disengage the descent limit switch of the main winch;
•
loosen the rope by a few centimetres;
•
wear protective gloves;
•
disconnect the rope from the rotating joint by removing the pin;

•
control winch rotation to unwind the rope and simultaneously stretch it
to prevent it from getting twisted on the winch drum; do not put your
hands near the winch drum while it is unwinding;
•
• release the insert "A"
