Each of the two wells can contain to 15 μl of sample (7.5 μl on ei-
ther side of the strip) in excess of the rehydration volume (i.e. 30
μl maximum for both wells). Introduce the sample through the
wells if it is not included in the rehydration solution.

The cover is made of acrylic and protects the IPG strip during re-
hydration. The shape of the underside of the cover ensures electri-
cal continuity during IEF by pressing the strip against the electrode
while allowing electrolysis gases to escape. Rehydration and sep-
aration progress can be monitored visually through the clear
cover.

Strip holder cover
The cover is made of acrylic and protects the IPG strip during rehydration. The shape of
the underside of the cover ensures electrical continuity during IEF by pressing the strip
against the electrode while allowing electrolysis gases to escape.
Rehydration and separation progress can be monitored visually through the transparent
cover.
