Chapter 7: Servicing the D.20 RIO
Servicing the D.20 RIO
The D.20 RIO does not require any scheduled maintenance. However, you may need to
replace the device’s internal fuses in the event an overcurrent occurs.
A periodic inspection is also suggested to ensure that:
•
The device has sustained no accidental physical damage
•
Connectors and cables are intact and firmly attached
Only trained personnel should perform maintenance on the D.20 RIO.
Accessing the D.20 RIO for maintenance
You need to remove the D.20 RIO cover to access the fuses, jumpers, and switches for
maintenance.
To access the D.20 RIO
for maintenance:
1.
Shut down the D.20 RIO.
2.
Power down and disconnect the power supply.
3.
Remove the device from the 19” rack, DIN rail, or panel.
You need to remove the rack mounting bracket(s) that were previously installed.
You do not need to remove the panel mounting or DIN rail mounting brackets
4.
Remove the screws affixing the top cover to the chassis. There are three screws at the
back and two on the left and right sides.
5.
Place the screws and cover aside in a safe location.
6.
Make the necessary changes.
7.
Reaffix the cover to the chassis using the seven screws removed in step 4.
8.
Reconnect the power supply to the D.20 RIO and restore power.
9.
Re-mount the D.20 RIO on a 19” rack, DIN rail, or panel.
10. Power up the D.20 RIO and verify that the
Power
LED is illuminated.
