The Solution
The warming plate ceased
to heat.
For your safety and for saving
energy, the appliance swit-
ches off automatically after
40 minutes of operation. This
is normal.
If you wish to keep your coffee warm for more than 40
minutes, you should fill the coffee into a Thermos flask
immediately after brewing. Switch off and unplug the
appliance.
A severe problem occurred.
Unplug the appliance and get in contact with an authori-
sed service centre for examination and repair.
The ON/OFF button is
flashing.
You attempted to start opera-
tion without any water in the
water tank.
Press the ON/OFF button. Then, fill the water tank with
at least 0.25 litres of water, and try again. Do not start
operation without any water in the water tank. There is
no way of activating the warming plate without perfor-
ming a brewing cycle.
You cannot set the starting
time for timer controlled ope-
ration.
The AUTO button must be
pressed twice quickly for set-
ting the starting time.
Try again, pressing the AUTO button twice more quickly.
You cannot activate timer
operation. The AUTO button
does not react.
The starting time for the timer
is not set.
Press the AUTO button twice quickly to display and adjust
the current starting time. Then try again (see: “Starting
Operation via the Timer”).
The timer has been activated
previously with the current
starting time.
After setting the starting time, you can only activate the
timer once. If you wish to activate the timer again with
the same starting time, press the AUTO button twice
quickly to switch to timer setting mode. Thereafter, timer
controlled operation will be available again. There is no
need to select another starting time.
An icon flashes on the LCD
display.

caling.
Perform the descaling cycle according to the instructions
in section “Descaling” as soon as possible.
