Problem
Possible Reason
The Solution
Hot water runs out from
under the water tank lid.
The silicone seal at the top of
the riser pipe is damaged.
Get in contact with an authorized service centre for exa-
mination and repair. During cleaning the appliance, and
when assembling or disassembling the brewing arm,
ensure not to damage the silicone seal.
DO NOT operate the appliance with the silico-
ne seal damaged!
The filter cover does not fit
between the brewing arm and
the filter basket.
The brewing arm is not instal-
led in correct orientation on
the riser pipe.
The brewing arm must protrude from the water tank
horizontally in right angle to the right side of the appli-
ance (3 o'clock position). Turn the brewing arm to the 3
o'clock position.
The filter bag is too big or not
inserted correctly.
Only use size 4 filter bags. Fold in the seam of the filter
bag and ensure to spread out and push down the filter
bag within the filter basket (see: “Preparing the Appli-
ance for Operation”).
The filter basket does not fit
between the brewing arm and
the filter support.
The filter basket can only be
installed between brewing
arm and filter support without
the filter cover.
Remove the filter cover from the filter basket, before
installing the filter basket. Then try again.
The brewing arm is not fixed
on the riser pipe.
The brewing arm must protrude from the water tank hori-
zontally and may not tilt or fall off. To fix the brewing
arm securely on the riser pipe in the centre of the water
tank, over the riser pipe press on the brewing arm until
the brewing arm settles firmly without any gap between
riser pipe and brewing arm (see: “Preparing the Appli-
ance for Operation”).
The filter bag is too big or not
inserted correctly.
Only use size 4 filter bags. Fold in the seam of the filter
bag and ensure to spread out and push down the filter
bag within the filter basket (see: “Preparing the Appli-
ance for Operation”).
You cannot lock the filter bas-
ket on the filter support.
The filter basket can only be
locked on the filter support,
when it is in the correct ori-
entation.
Place the filter basket on the filter support with the
handle facing to the 2 o'clock position. If required, turn
the filter basket slowly to and fro, until it settles down.
Then turn the filter basket clockwise to engage it per-
ceptibly on the filter support. When locked correctly, the
handle of the filter basket will face at right angle to the
right side of the appliance (3 o'clock position).
