 ATTENTION

Hearing damage

A longer stay in the immediate vicinity of the running

unit may cause hearing damage. Wear ear protectors!
When working with the device, a certain level of noise

cannot be avoided. Noisy work should be scheduled for

hours, during which it is allowed by statute or other local

regulations. Adhere to any applicable rest times and limit

your working time to the necessary minimum time. For

your personal protection and the protection of people

nearby, suitable hearing protection must be worn.
Noise emission information in accordance with the

German Product Safety Act (ProdSG) and the EC Machine

Directive: the noise pressure level at the place of work can

exceed 80 dB(A). In such cases the operator will require

noise protection (e.g. wearing of ear protectors).

Please do also consider any local regulations concerning

noise protection!

 WARNING

Risk of injury
Use only original cutting devices or ones homologated

by the Manufacturer.

•  Only use the trimmer with the right trimming cord

installed and with both trimming cords being at the

right length.

•  Do not use metal wire or plastic- sheathed metal wire

of any kind in the cutting head. This may lead to serious

injuries of the operator.

All protection covers and safety devices must be cor-

rectly attached to operate the device.

•  The cutting diameter must not exceed the length of the

protection cover stated in this manual.

Before starting work please:

•  check that all the screws on the machine and the cutting

device are tightly fastened

•  check that the cutting device is undamaged

•  and that the 3 or 4-point metal blades (if fitted) are

properly sharpened

•  check that the air filter is clean

•  check the handgrips are well fastened

•  Before each use of the device, check whether the cutting

head is attached correctly and that the throttle lever

returns to zero position automatically.

•  Check all screw and plug-in connections and protective

equipment if firm and tightened properly and whether

all moving parts are running smooth whenever the

appliance is to be put into operation.

The protective equipment on the appliance is strictly

prohibited to be disassembled, changed, used in conflict

with the designation and it is prohibited to attach any

protective equipment of other manufacturers.
The appliance must not be used if damaged or safety

equipment is defective. Replace any worn-out and dama-

ged parts.

 WARNING

The cutting device must not move when the engine is

running idle. If the cutting device moves when the engine

is running idle, contact your dealer to correctly regulate

the engine.

The machine must always be used connected to the web-

bing worn correctly. Frequently check the efficiency of the

quick release mechanism used to quickly free the machine

from the belts in case of danger.
The webbing must be put on before connecting the

machine to the special coupling and the belts must be

adjusted to suit the operator’s height and stature.
Never start the engine with the shoulder strap hang up.
When working with this machine, do not use spare parts

other than those recommended by us. Using spare parts

not recommend by us can result in serious injuries to

persons or damage to the machine.
Make sure that the trimmer is not soiled by parts of plants

or other materials.

 WARNING

Risk of injury
Rotating blades may lead to serious injuries by cutting

or amputating parts of the body.

•  Be careful to avoid injury by the cutting tools. Careful

appliance handling reduces the risk of injury by knife.

•  Always have your arms and legs in safe distance from

the cutting mechanism, in particular after turning the

engine on.

Never touch under the housing body when the engine is

running. Wear protective shoes.

•  Avoid any inadvertent starting of the engine. Make sure,

that the control lever is always in ‘Start’ position when

you pull the starter rope.

•  Never use the lawn trimmer without the protective

cover.

•  After the appliance is turned off, the cutting head keep

rotating for a couple of seconds. Keep your arms and

legs in safe distance.

•  Carry the lawn trimmer with the handle, with the blade

being off (idle).

Thrown-off stones or soil may lead to injuries.

•  Before mowing, check the area to be mowed for any

undesirable objects.

•  Wear safety goggles when working.

When working, the machine must always be firmly held

in both hands, keeping the power unit on the right of the

body and the cutting group below the line of the belt.

•  Adjust the handle to your body height before starting

the device and make sure that the cutting head is not in

touch with any objects.

•  Be careful when going backwards – risk of tripping!
