6.3.3. OIL BATH FILTER
Warning! Only in engines with an oil bath filter.
1. Remove the filter cover by unscrewing the wing nut
and washer.
2. Fill the base of the filter with clean oil SAE 20w/40
up to the mark “OIL LEVEL” (approx. 70 cc. oil).
3. Place the lid of the air filter with the washer and
wing nut.

6.4.1. CHECKPOINTS BEFORE COMMISSIONING
Do not use machine is if it is damaged or incorrectly
regulated.
Use this machine for the purpose for which it was
designed. Any other use may be dangerous for the
user, for the machine and for persons, animals and
things that may be around.
Check:
- The machine completely and look for loose and
damaged parts (screws, nuts, etc.).
- That the moving parts of the machine are not in
contact with any object.
- That the guard is properly attached to the machine.
- That the cutting tool is disengaged (see 6.4.1.1.)
- That there are no fuel leaks.
- The crankcase oil and transmission level.
- The air filter is clean.
Tighten, repair or replace everything you need
before using the machine.
Do not use any accessory on this machine outside of
those recommended by Garland since its use could
result in serious injury to the user, machine, and the
people, animals and things close to the machine.
6.4.1.1. CLUTCH CHECKPOINT
The cutting tool should be off by default to prevent
the machine from moving at the time of starting the
machine. To verify that the clutch is disengage, place
the switch to “OFF” position and pull slowly and
forcefully from the Starter handle the engine turn.
Note If, while the motor spins, also turn the cutting
tool. If the cutting tool rotates, it means that the clutch
is engaged and is therefore poorly regulated. If the
