6 Troubleshooting
6.1 Error messages and fault rectification
Error message Possible cause Fault rectification
E1 Power fault Power monitoring at the coil or the
power amplifier diagnosed.
Excessive / insufficient power. Try again.
E2 Power amplifier in
operation Generator programme in operation. Wait a short while before restarting.
E3 Cooler overtempera-
ture Generator cooler is too hot (too
many heating cycles in too short a
time). Allow the cooler to cool down.
E4 Initial temperature of
the cooler too high Generator cooler is too hot (too
many heating cycles in too short a
time). Wait a short while before restarting.
E5 Safety circuit open Coil temperature > 60 °C (too many
heating cycles in too short a time). Allow the coil to cool down, check
the cause.
E6 Invalid data The generator has received invalid
data from the control panel. Contact the manufacturer.
E7 Relay fault Problems have arisen with the
power relay in the generator. Contact the manufacturer.
E8 Fan fault Problems have arisen with the fan
in the generator. Contact the manufacturer.
E9 DIP switch invalid Incorrect switch settings in the
generator. Contact the manufacturer.
EA Power amplifier
already in operation An attempt has been made to start
the generator, although it is already
in operation.

Switch the unit off.

Switch the unit on again.

Try again.
Eb Invalid hardware Hardware problems in the genera-
tor. Contact the manufacturer.
EC Mains voltage too
high An excessively high mains voltage
was detected. Check the main voltages.
Ed No load The heating cycle was started when
no chuck was in the coil. Try again.
EE No coil present Breakage in the cable or terminal
disconnected. Contact the manufacturer.
EF Telegram error Communication to the generator
has been lost. Contact the manufacturer.
dd Initialisation error When initialising the control panel
the unit found that it was switched
off or detected a fault. Contact the manufacturer.
The initialisation of the control
panel must be repeated!

F8 Telegram error Errors occurred in telegrams to and
from the generator. Contact the manufacturer.

If because of these errors the SG1 cannot be commissioned, please contact the company that supplied
it or customer service department.
