Transport and erection
CAUTION
Falling or tipping machine
Crush hazards, laceration hazards and impact hazards for the
body and limbs.
» Transport work must be performed by persons who have been
instructed in the safety aspects of hoists and transport work.
» Adequately secure the working and swinging area.
» Use only tested and approved means of transport, lifting gear
and slings that are suitable for the weight and size of the unit.
» Do not enter under suspended loads or reach under them or
into their range of swinging.
» Move loads only under proper supervision. Before you leave the
workplace, first set down the load.
Immediately on receipt check the product for damage in trans-
port. Damaged products must not be installed or commissioned.
5.1.
TRANSPORT
Transport should be performed by specialists for mechan-
ical work, trained for use of the lifting gear and means of
transport employed. Experienced in the transport of
heavy and bulky items.
Wear safety helmet, safety shoes, protective gloves

The surface finishing machine is still fully packed.
ü
A suitable place for erection has been selected.
ü
Forklift truck or pallet truck rated for the weight of the item of
packaging.
1. Drive the forklift truck forwards so that the forks pass under
the pallet until they project beyond the far side.
2. Lift the pallet and transport it to the place of erection.
3. Put down the pallet.
4. Remove the packaging film.
