Reset Oil Counter
(L316, L359 2013+, 2017+)*
Usage
This will reset the oil counter and remove the service reminder warning displayed on the instrument
cluster.
CAUTION
For vehicles equipped with a diesel particulate filter, the reset func
-
tion affects the regeneration process. Therefore, an oil change should
be made at the same time as reset. Not changing the oil can cause
serious engine damage.

Turbocharger Replacement Reset
(L316-12)
Usage
This routine is required when the turbocharger is replaced.
Renew security ID between 10AS and
(L316)
Usage
This routine is required when the engine ECU is replaced.
Renew security
(L359 i6, L319, L320, L319-10, L320-10)
Usage
This routine is required when the engine ECU is replaced.
Required if a adaption clear has been
made on the i6 engine, L359
High PSI Pump Reset
(L316-07)
Usage
This routine is required when:
• The volumetric control valve (VCV) is replaced
• The Engine ECU firmware is updated (or remapped)
• It can help to solve fuel delivery issues
Preparation
Make sure the vehicle is in a well-ventilated area, preferably outside. Start the engine.
Do not use this function unless necessary. Low quality VCVs may prevent the ECU from completing
the learning process.
