1.4. Power Requirements

The S153 Ver.2 fusion splicer can operate from any single-phase AC power source that supplies
between 100-240 V at a frequency of 50-60 Hz with the S976A_AC adapter. It also has the
S943B internal battery for battery operation and the battery can be charged in the S958C unit by
the AC power source through the S976A_ AC adapter or S977A_AC_adapter. It can also be
charged while it is inserted in the splicer’s body.
