Connecting to TV
You can enjoy the video and audio of this
unit on your TV.
• When you make connection with your TV,
both this unit and the TV should be turned
off.
• Refer to the manual of your TV for more
information.

• Do not tilt the
connector when
inserting it into the
HDMI jack and make
sure the shapes of the
jack and the connector
are matched.
• When connected to an HDCP* (High-
bandwidth Digital Content Protection
system) incompatible display device;
- the picture will not be displayed
properly.
- CHARGE indicator and STANDBY/ON
indicator will blink on and off.
(*HDCP is copy protection technology
that comprises data encryption and
authentication of the connected AV
device. This unit supports HDCP.
Please read the operating instructions
of your display device for more
information.)
• Please purchase the necessary cables at
your local store. Use an HDMI cable
with the HDMI logo (a certified HDMI
cable) for this connection. High Speed
HDMI cable (also known as HDMI
category 2 cable) is recommended for
better compatibility.
• Under the following conditions, audio
will be output from this unit even if the
unit is connected to a display device
using an HDMI cable.
- When connected to the DVI
compatible display device with an
HDMI-DVI converter cable or device
with no audio output.
- When “HDMI Audio Out” is set to
“Audio Mute”.
• This unit can output the HD audio
when;
- Amplifier is connected with an HDMI
cable.
- “BD Audio Mode” is set to “HD Audio
Output”. (Refer to page 37.)
