Caution
• Turn off the unit before attaching or
detaching the battery pack.
• Detach the battery pack when you do
not use it.
Charging the Battery Pack
Attach the battery pack and connect the
AC adapter.
• For connection, refer to “Using the Unit
with AC adapter” on page 12.
• CHARGE indicator lights up in green while
charging the battery and turns off when
charging is finished.

Checking the battery level
When “Battery Icon” (refer to page 47) is set to
“On”, battery icon is displayed on the LCD
screen.

Note
• When the battery is empty;
- The empty battery icon will be
displayed even if “Battery Icon” is set
to “Off”.
- The empty battery icon and CHARGE
indicator flashes.
• When the AC adapter is connected, the
battery icon will not be displayed even
if “Battery Icon” is set to “On”.
• If you leave the unit with empty battery,
the unit will be turned off automatically
after a while.
• This unit will not turn on when the
battery is empty and AC adapter is not
connected.
• Please charge the battery pack if the
battery icon starts to blink.
Using the Unit with the Car DC
Adapter
Connect the car DC adapter as illustrated
below.

Caution
• Do not operate or view this unit while
operating the vehicle.
• Do not turn off the car engine or
disconnect the car DC adapter before
turning off this unit. This may damage
the unit.
• The supplied car DC adapter is only for
12V car battery with negative ground. Do
not use with any 24V truck battery with
negative or positive ground.
