Error Controls and Indicators
Light Path Diagnostic LEDs
The following table describes the LEDs on the LED card and suggested actions
to correct the detected problems.
Lit LED on
LED Card
Cause
Action
All LEDs
are off (the
power LED
is lit).
No action necessary.
OVER
SPEC
Power supplies using more
power than max rating.
The NON RED and
LOG LEDs might
also be lit.
Ê
Use 220 V AC instead of 110 V
AC.
Ê
Replace failed power supply
(see page 110).
Ê
Remove optional devices from
the server until LED is no longer
lit.
Ê
If the error persists, call for
service.
PS
A power supply has failed or
has been removed; also
see figure 25 on page 111.
In a redundant power
configuration, the
DC power LED on
one power supply
might be off.
Ê
Reinstall the removed power
supply.
Ê
Check the individual power-
supply LEDs to find the failing
power supply.
Ê
If the error persists, call for
service.
If a 12 V fault has occurred,
AC power must be removed
before DC power can be
restored.
