1.
Turn off the computer and disconnect the AC adapter from it.
2.
Plug the monitor cable in the external monitor port on the back of the computer.
The external monitor port has a trapezoidal cross-section.
(1) Insert the connector straight into the external monitor port with the right side up, and (2)
secure it with the screws on both sides of the connector.
(Your computer or situation may not look exactly like this illustration.)
3.
Connect the other end of the cable to the CRT monitor.
For the way of connecting the cable to your monitor, refer to its manual.
4.
Plug the power cable of the CRT monitor in a wall outlet, and then turn on the monitor.
5.
Connect the AC adapter to your computer, and turn on the computer.
After that, switch from the LCD monitor to the external CRT monitor if you like.
If the Add New Hardware Wizard appears after you have connected the external display, perform
these steps.

Some external monitors come with a CD or floppy disk containing files necessary for using
them. If a CD or floppy disk is included with your monitor, install all necessary files according
to the instructions in your monitor manual.
Critical Point
Images may be displayed on both the LCD screen of your computer and the external monitor
connected. If you like, you can switch to the monitor you want to use.
