Installing and removing a CompactFlash board
You can install a CompactFlash board instead of a hard disk.
The CompactFlash board has an IDE interface. The BIOS treats the CompactFlash module as
though it were an IDE hard disk.

If you want to operate a DVD/CD drive and a CompactFlash board in your device, then you
require an IDE cable with two IDE connections!

Open the casing (see "Opening the casing").

Place the CompactFlash board on the bracket
in the direction of the arrow (2).
►
Screw the CompactFlash board with the three
screws (1) onto the carrier.
►
Fasten the EasyChange rails to the bracket of
the CompactFlash board.

Thread the connector of the power supply cable through and out of the bay and connect it to
the CompactFlash board.

The power supply has a 4 pin power supply connector. If you use an optical drive and a
CompactFlash board, you require an additional 4 pin power supply connector. Connect the
adapter cable provided to the serial ATA connector and to the power supply connection on
the CompactFlash board.

Slide the CompactFlash board together with the bracket into the bay until it engages noticeably.

Connect the power supply cable to the power supply connector.
►
Connect the connector of the data cable to the CompactFlash board and to the mainboard.
►
Close the casing (see "Closing the casing").
