6. Upgrading Software
Software Upgrade Overview

Firmware files for the CP-100 are loaded into the hardware at power-up. These files are
stored in the unit’s onboard flash memory.
The CP-100’s system software can be easily upgraded using the following steps:
•
Download the appropriate “upgrade” file. Contact Technical Support for details on
obtaining or downloading the latest firmware update.
•
Connect a PC (or laptop) to the CP-100.
•
Launch a web browser.
•
Connect to the CP-100 using its IP address.
•
Follow the upgrade instructions in the browser.

The following hardware items are required for upgrading CP-100 software:

IBM compatible computer with an available Ethernet port.
•
Local Ethernet network, including an Ethernet switch.
