4.7.7 Clear Events Buffer
Use this feature to clear the entire events buffer information.
4.7.8 Modify Password
The “Modify Password” page (Figure 4-15) allows you to set or clear the freeStor Xpand
1500C’s password protection feature. Once the password has been set, the user can only
monitor and configure the unit by providing the correct password. The password is used to
protect the system from unauthorized entry. The controller will check the password only when
entering the main menu from the initial screen. The unit will automatically go back to the initial
screen when it does not receive a command within twenty seconds.
To set or change the password, enter the old password beside “Enter Original Password”, then
enter the new password beside “Enter New Password” and “Re-Enter New Password”.
To disable password protection, enter the original password, but leave both “Enter New
Password” and “Re-Enter New Password” fields blank.
Check the “Confirm The Operation” checkbox and click “Submit”.
