3.10.2 Local IP Address
If you selected “Disabled” under DHCP Function, you need to set a static IP address for the disk
array in order to manage it via the web interface (Figure 3-34). The IP address must be in the
same subnet as your computer in order for your computer to manage the unit.

3.10.3 Port Numbers
You can change the port numbers used by the freeStor Xpand 1500C to access its interface and
for it to send out email. It is not advised that you change these settings from the defaults unless
you are familiar with networking technology. The ports that can be changed are for HTTP
access, Telnet access, and outbound SMTP.
3.10.4 Ethernet Address
Displays the MAC (Media Access Control) address of the disk array. It is a globally unique
identifier used by all network devices.
3.11 View System Events
To view the freeStor Xpand 1500C’s system event information, move the cursor to the main
menu and select “View System Events”, then press <Enter>. The events will be displayed on the
screen. System events are organized by: Time, Device, Event type, Elapse Time and Errors
(Figure 3-35). The freeStor Xpand 1500C does not have a built-in real time clock. The Time
information is relative to the time that the unit was turned on.
