After the firmware upgrade is complete, a message will be displayed saying “Firmware Has
Been Updated Successfully”. You will need to restart the controller for the new firmware to take
effect.
Note:
Updating the firmware will cause all of the user’s custom settings to be
reset to factory defaults.
4.7.10 Restart Controller
Use the Restart Controller Function to restore the configuration of the freeStor Xpand 1500C
from the unit’s non-volatile memory. To reset the controller, move the cursor to the menu item
RAID System Function item and then press <Enter>. Move the cursor to Reset Controller and
press <Enter>. When the confirmation screen appears, select “Yes” to reset the system.
Note:
This features only works properly if the host and drives do not have any
activity.
4.8 Information
4.8.1 RAID Set Hierarchy
Use this feature to view the internal status and settings for RAID sets, volume sets, and physical
disks. This is the home page that is displayed when you log into the device.
4.8.2 System Information
The System Information page (Figure 4-16) displays the main processor, CPU instruction cache
and data cache size, firmware version, serial number, controller model name, and the cache
memory size.
