4.4.2 Delete RAID Set
The Delete RAID Set option allows you to delete a RAID Set. To delete a RAID set, click on
“Delete Raid Set”. A “Select The Raid Set To Delete” screen is displayed showing all existing
RAID sets in the unit. Click the RAID set you wish to delete in the select column to delete
screen.
Check the “Confirm The Operation” box and click “Submit” to delete it.
4.4.3 Expand RAID Set
Use the Expand RAID Set option (Figure 4-3) to add disk drives to an existing RAID set. To
expand a RAID set, click on “Expand Raid Set”. Select the RAID set to expand, then click
“Submit”. On the next screen, select the disk drive(s) to add to the RAID set, check the “Confirm
The Operation” checkbox, and click “Submit”.
Notes:
•
Once the Expand Raid Set process has started, it cannot be stopped.
•
If a disk drive fails during RAID set expansion and a hot spare is available, an auto
rebuild operation will occur after the RAID set expansion has been completed.
