3.7.2 Create Pass-Through Disk
A Pass-Through Disk is a disk that is not controlled by the freeStor Xpand 1500C and thus
cannot be a part of a RAID Set or Volume Set. The disk is available to the host computer as an
individual disk. It is typically used on a system where the operating system is on a disk that is
not controlled by the disk array. Refer to “Create Volume Set” for descriptions of the parameters
listed on this page (Figure 3-21).

3.7.3 Modify Pass-Through Disk
Use this option to modify the Pass-Through Disk settings of a drive. To modify the Pass-
Through Disk parameters, move the cursor to the “Physical Drive Function” menu and select the
“Modify Pass-Through Drive” option and then press <Enter>. The Physical Drive Function menu
will show all available Pass-Through Drives. Move the cursor to the desired drive and press
<Enter> to show all of the Pass-Through Disk’s Attributes. Select the parameter from the list you
wish to change and press <Enter> key to modify it.
