4.4.3 Install remote interlock – optional
Explanation
The interlock is a safety device that stops laser radiation whenever the
door of the treatment room is opened. The interlock circuit must be
connected to a switch that is located near the door of the treatment room
in order to ensure automatic interruption of the laser emission.
Installation of an interlock with door switch
1. Turn the control unit that you have access to the connectors on the
backside.
2. Remove the bridge from the interlock socket by gently pulling back
the other sleeve of the bridge plug to open the quick release.
3. The plugs and sockets are color coded. Please connect your interlock
cable plug to the socket coded with a red ring.
NOTICE
The installation must be performed by a qualified electrician who is also
responsible for the installation and maintenance of the electrical system
to which the Aquamarine is connected.
NOTICE
Additional or different safety precautions required by the applicable
national or local regulations for the protection of dentists, assistant
personnel, or patients must also be observed.
NOTICE
The plug has a guide groove which fits into the nose inside the socket to
ensure the correct orientation of the plug.
