SECTION 12
REPAIR AND SERVICE
The Chempure Series analyzers are designed with
modular components for quick and easy repair.
Following are repair and replacement instructions for
commonly replaced components.

12.1 COLORIMETER
When replacing or cleaning colorimeter, always take
care not to damage flow cell. To replace colorimeter or
any of its components:
1. Switch main power off.
2. Loosen thumbscrew under colorimeter.
3. Slide colorimeter out of connector.
4. Tip and pour contents of flow cell to waste.
5. Place on clean, stable surface.
12.1.1 SOURCE LAMP REPLACEMENT
1. Let old source lamp cool down.
2. Unscrew the lamp lead wires.
3. Twist lamp counterclockwise to remove (wear
gloves or place cloth over lamp for safety).
4. Place new lamp in position on socket, with large
holes in lamp base over socket pins.
5. Press down firmly and turn lamp clockwise to
secure in position.
6. Connect wires to screw contacts next to lamp.
12.1.2 INTERFERENCE FILTER REPLACEMENT
1. Loosen thumbscrew on top of interference filter
assembly.
2. Lift interference filter assembly out of colorimeter
housing.
3. Place new interference filter assembly into col-
orimeter (it will only fit one way) and secure with
thumbscrew.
12.1.3 SAMPLE FLOW CELL REPLACEMENT
1. Loosen thumbscrew on top of sample flow cell.
2. Lift flow cell out of colorimeter housing.
3. Place new sample flow cell into colorimeter and
secure with thumbscrews.
